UNSNOOZ / LEGAL
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 12, 2026
UnSnooz is an iPhone alarm app operated by Arkangl, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we handle information when you use our app, website, account services, and support.
The essentials. Signed-in users can sync their alarm and profile data. Photo missions can be checked on your iPhone or, when online recognition is enabled, through Google Gemini. You can turn online recognition off in Settings and delete your account from Profile.
1. Information we collect
Account and sign-in information
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a provider account identifier and, depending on what you choose to share and what the provider makes available, your email address, verification status, name, and profile image URL.
We also keep account and session records and device information sent during sign-in. This may include an installation identifier, device name and model, iOS version, app version and build, language, time zone, and notification token when available.
Information you sync
When you are signed in, UnSnooz can sync alarm configurations, morning completion history, profile name and email, an optional profile photo, onboarding answers, and selected preferences such as language, wake-up goals, and reminder times. These records are associated with your account so your information can be restored and kept consistent across devices. Alarm scheduling and mission completion still run on your iPhone.
Support messages
If you contact us in the app, we collect the category, subject, message, optional reply email, and app version and build you submit. You do not have to sign in to send a support request. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include.
Website and service logs
Our hosting systems receive technical information needed to serve requests, such as IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, browser information, and response status. We use operational logs to maintain reliability and investigate abuse. This landing website does not currently include advertising trackers or an analytics script.
2. Camera and photo missions
UnSnooz asks for camera access for missions that need it. Offline photo recognition and camera-based exercise checks run on your iPhone.
When Online Photo Recognition is enabled and your signed-in session and connection are available, the app sends a resized mission photo and the requested subject through our server to Google Gemini for recognition. The app removes image metadata before upload. Our recognition endpoint does not save mission photos or include them in application logs, and it requests Gemini processing with interaction storage disabled. Google's handling of data is subject to its applicable API terms and policies.
You can turn off Online Photo Recognition in Settings to keep these checks on your iPhone. Guest checks, offline checks, and checks when the online service is unavailable use on-device models. A profile photo you choose to sync is separate from a temporary mission photo and is stored with your synced profile.
3. How we use information
- Sign you in and maintain your account and sessions.
- Sync and restore your alarm, profile, preference, and completion information.
- Check mission completion using the recognition option available to you.
- Respond to support requests and account-deletion requests.
- Keep the service reliable, prevent misuse, and investigate security issues.
We use information received from Apple and Google sign-in for authentication, account operations, security, and related support. We do not use that sign-in data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it with advertising networks. Hosting and infrastructure providers process information to operate the service. Apple and Google provide sign-in services, and Google Gemini processes mission photos when online recognition is used.
In app versions with purchases enabled, Apple handles App Store payments and Superwall supports paywall presentation and subscription access. These services may process purchase status, app and device information, and paywall interaction events. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Superwall is disabled in the current internal testing build.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our service, or others. Providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.
5. Storage, retention, and security
We use encrypted connections, cryptographic hashes for UnSnooz refresh tokens, and encryption for stored Apple refresh tokens. These safeguards help protect information, but no system is completely secure.
We retain account and synced records while your account is active or as needed to operate and secure the service. Account deletion removes associated account, device, session, identity, and synced records from the active database. Limited information may remain in operational logs or backups until they are rotated or deleted.
Support messages are stored separately so we can handle your request. Contact us if you want help deleting a support submission. Temporary mission photos are not retained by our recognition endpoint as described above.
6. Your choices and account deletion
- Online recognition: turn it off in the app's Settings.
- Device permissions: manage camera, notifications, and other permissions in iPhone Settings. Some missions need the relevant permission to work.
- Profile information: update the information available in your UnSnooz profile.
- Delete your account: open Profile in UnSnooz and select Delete Account. If an identity provider requires an additional disconnection step, the app explains it.
You can email asadbekdev@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you live, other privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Deleting an UnSnooz account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; manage subscriptions through Apple.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its revision date when our practices change. We will provide additional notice where required.
